Last Friday my oldest son went to play at a friend’s house. I pulled up to his friend’s house just in time to see a Lego man attached to a parachute launch into the air from his perch atop an old plastic film canister. My son’s friend sent a canister with two Alka-Seltzer tablets home with my son. But let’s face it, two tablets only starts the fun. So my son quickly engineered his own vinegar and baking soda explosions.
First he added vinegar to the canister.
Then placed baking soda on the lid.
Then he carefully snapped the lid into place, gave it a little shake and…
waited for…
Blast Off! If I hadn’t run out of baking soda, they might still be out there.
What a cool mom you are! Encouraging their scientific ways!
Hi Mary! Thanks for stopping by.
