Baxter died after a terrible accident tonight and we had to say goodbye, so I thought I’d post a few pictures. It helped my children to sort through the photos and find pictures of their friend. Here he is trying to get a better look at the three new piglets.
He followed Nate up and down the fields day or night.
If the children were at the creek, so was he.
It was so funny to watch Robie, the basset hound, try and keep up with Baxter.
I think he was teasing her this day at the pond.
No matter what, he liked to be wherever we were. We will miss you Baxter.
He looks like a great dog, so sorry about Baxter. The picture with the Bassett hound made me chuckle, because we had a Doberman and a Bassett who grew up together and did everything together. They died within a year of each other. It was always funny to see Tara trying to keep up with Lugosi on her little short legs.
I’m sorry. Pet deaths are always hard, but if this one was an accident, that makes it more so. Hugs to you and your children.
He probably lived one of the happiest animal lives a pet could live.
