My Aunt Pat made these a few years ago and was kind enough to give me the recipe. They are super easy and look oh so Halloweenish.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1/3 cup water
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
plain M&M’s
red cinnamon candies
Preheat oven to 375°.
In a medium bowl, beat together peanut butter, eggs, and water.
Gradually add cake mix, mixing well.
It’s a pretty thick batter.
Form dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten balls with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
Pinch out two ears at the top of cookie. Add M&M’s for eyes and red cinnamon candy for a nose. Press fork into dough to form whiskers. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Let your helper sample the candy while the cookies bake, or your back is turned.
Enjoy!

I have a daughter born on Halloween so every year for her birthday the cake had to be Halloween-y. One year I found the recipe for Ghosts in the Graveyard cake, and from then on that’s what it had to be. I wish I had had this recipe back then. It would have been way easier.
Those are cute!
@Karen that sounds like a fun cake. We do a haunted house and graveyard cake that’s a lot of work. Didn’t do it this year…yet. I don’t know if my youngest daughter is going to let me get away without doing it. Shh..don’t tell her.
