I hope you all had a beautiful Easter celebrating our Savior. Maybe you noticed I was absent all last week. Our family took off on a week long spring break trip. It’s the first time we’ve had an entire week for spring break so we decided to take full advantage and borrowed my parents’ camping trailer. We packed it up and off we went to southern Utah.
Day 1
First stop was Goblin Valley where we ate lunch and let the children run and climb for a couple of hours. We had so much fun exploring, climbing, and imagining. It truly is a place for the entire family. Everyone can climb something–even pregnant moms. Here the children decided this rock was a camel, but the two-year-old refused to climb it until they called it a horse. So it became a horse. A big fat horse. And the two-year-old was happy.
Incidentally, my husband downloaded some new music for the trip, and among the new songs was 2 Yr. Old Attitude from the album Live by Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. It became our new favorite song during episodes like this.
Despite his 2 Yr. Old Attitude, he’s still so darn cute and kissable.
The next stop was this mountain of sand just before Moab. Nate pulled over and told everyone to take off their shoes and socks and climb to the top.
Then they all raced down the hill. Thanks for the tradition, Nan!
When everyone was too tired to climb the hill one more time, we all got back into the suburban and headed for the Moab KOA. I’ll be posting more about our trip as the week goes on complete with recipes for your dutch oven and grill. so keep checking back to see what’s new.
That looks like so much fun! And how do you do it??? You don’t even look pregnant!
Thanks, Tamara, carefully placed children help with that!
What a fun trip you had! I found you by way of Karen Gowen. So glad I stopped by. Feel free to come visit and follow my blog if it tickles your fancy. I look forward to reading more of your posts!
Wow! What great pics! Love the camel one.
@Melissa–Thanks for stopping by. I am a silent visitor to your blog already. Guess I shouldn’t be so silent!
@M.–The camel was a lot of fun.
