The children were all finally in bed. I turned to Nate and asked, “Do you remember when we lived in Springville and you would come home from work? We’d eat dinner, I’d do the dishes, and we’d all go for a walk?”
He nodded.
I glanced at the clock showing 9 PM. “I’m still on the do the dishes part.”
I’m just jealous that all your children were in bed by 9. That never happens here, even on school nights. 🙁
It helps when their day starts at 6 or 6:30. Even so, 9:30 has been more the norm lately.
Wow! You mean you guys actually get to the dishes part? Lucky!

Go for a walk with your husband! That’s what we do. There just aren’t enough hours in the day…
Did they ever approve the narrow’s project? And how is your writing coming these days?
@Me, Hi again! It’s been a while. I hope your summer is going well. My oldest just made the high school soccer team. She’s pretty excited about it. (So are we–It’s more fun to watch your child play when you like the game, too.)
I think the Narrows Project is still under review. I haven’t heard anything new. We’re on 3 days on and 4 days off watering and that’s only one wheel line that we can turn on when we have our on days. It’s dry.
The only writing I’ve done this summer is in my head. That’s what happened last year, too. With a baby due very soon I don’t foresee that changing for a couple of months.
What about you? How’s your latest manuscript coming?
