This little cowboy likes to do everything himself. If I’m peeling blanched tomatoes for salsa, then he wants his own knife and tomatoes to peel.
It’s often a bit messier than I’d like.
It’s not just me he likes to help.
so is he. Even if he has to use a snow shovel.
His helpfulness extends to his own chores. Sort of. This is where he flung his jammies after getting dressed. I made the mistake of putting them away for him. He corrected me by throwing them back down the stairs and waiting half an hour before putting them away.
It all gets done eventually, and if I remember to let him help me at his own pace, then everyone is happy.
And that’s how a three-year-old teaches his much older Mom patience.
How sweet! mine teaches me patience by just not doing things…unless there’s a reward involved!
That’s a much gentler lesson on patience than my 3rd child taught me at that age. His lesson was to destroy everything in the house and fling the pieces to the nether regions of the universe. Repeatedly.
But it’s still a great lesson!
VERY sweet!
He is truly his own little person. Being almost the youngest, he wants to stand out too. He just wants to be heard and noticed. He has always been one to do it his way or no way. Too cute!!!! That does take patience but it also brings great rewards too. He like to problem solve and do it himself. Great!!!
