Thanks to KSL.com and a husband willing to stop on his way through Provo, I’ve now got this indispensable piece of running equipment. I’m not sure who likes it more, the boys or me.
I also got a new pair of running shoes. Hey look–no holes in the toes! I started the couch to 5k program again and got through two complete weeks before the baby got double ear infections, and then both little boys got the stomach flu. I’ve been sidelined for about a week, but I hope to get back to running soon. I can’t tell you how much fun it was to run again.
I’m watching my form very carefully, plus I do yoga after each run. And good news!–so far my back hasn’t hurt at all! My ankles are another story. Sometimes I feel very old; I just get one part to stop hurting and another ache starts elsewhere!
Anyone else been bit by the running bug this spring?
No, I don’t but I wish I liked to run. But try as I might I really do hate it. They say if you just start you will be addicted, but I haven’t got up the courage to start. The boys are so cute in their new stroller. So you won it? How? I am so jealous. I have a one seater and I have to let Andelyn ride on top, it works but not for running, but again we don’t have to worry about that because I don’t run.
I thought you were the runner. Didn’t you run track in HS?
I wish I had won the stroller. I found it for sale in the classifieds. The woman who owned it lived in Provo. Nate happened to be driving home from SLC and was stuck in traffic on the freeway outside of Provo. He called to tell me he was going to stop and get dinner because the traffic was so bad, and I asked if he could check out this stroller I’d seen on the classifieds at KSL.com.
My oldest liked to ride in the basket under the stroller when the 2nd baby came along. Weird!
Yes, I did run track but the sprints. I just hate jogging I guess. I don’t mind running fast for a short distance but the long miles do me in. Even in High school to warm up we were to run a slow mile and I would always cheat and run 3/4 or 1/2 of a mile. Oh boy I am such a wimp. Who would ride in the stroller basket? That is funny.
Kat, I’m really trying to get to Sanpete for the 10 K at 10K, are you in for that?
Oh Hayley, I so want to be, but I doubt I’ll be ready by then. I’d have to take the stroller with the boys, too because Nate is running it and maybe the oldest one or two, also. Whew–pushing a stroller UP that first 2k might kill me.
But who knows, I’ll keep running and see where I’m at by the end of July.
